About Me

Hello!
My name is Sarah.

I am a Freelance Graphic Designer that loves lots of variety!
I offer a unique skillset from my previous career in support and administrative roles.

My strengths include but aren't limited to: UX/UI Design, Branding, Product and Web Design. Currently, provied a wide range of services like developing and create social media imagery, compiling and editing Youtube videos, formating print documents (both large and small scale), designing website layouts, and application ui/ux - just to name a few!

In my leisure time, I like to play around with motion in After Effects, create website layouts using HTML/CSS or no-code Webflow, or browse through the many beautiful typefaces on Adobe/Google Fonts.

Quick Q&A

Q: "Are you willing to relocate?"

A: It depends! Currently I am a freelance/contactor that works from a home office, but if your work requires that I be on-site or you would like to work with me on a full-time, salaried basis — lets talk!

Q: "What is a strength of yours?"

A: I am a hard worker. I like to figure out how to do something efficiently and correctly, but won't hesitate to ask for advice if I am unsure how to do something or need help.

Q: "What is a weakness of yours?"

A: I don't take the time to celebrate my successes or feel like I have accomplished a lot. I am always looking for what's next to do.

Q: "How long was the Graphic Design program?"

A: The Graphic Design program was 3 year — Advanced Diploma through Algonquin College.

Q: "Would you rather work in teams or alone?"

A: There are benefits to both that I enjoy.
Working alone you can forecast what can be expected and what can be done by a certain time. Additionally, it enables you to do work anytime of day or night without worry of who is waiting on you.
Working in teams, you're able to use each member for their best talents to make something great and if something comes up, you have each other to count on. So, if I had to choose, teams!

Q: "What has past employment taught you?"

A: To stay organized and don't procrastinate!
My previous history in support roles exposed me to a large variety of tasks (some that need to be done quickly) and multitasking. It soon became apparent that if you're able to get something done now, it is better to do that than to risk the possibility of other unforeseeable tasks sidelining it and causing delay or rushed work.

Random Facts

Q: What foods can you never get tired of?

A: A good watermelon and pho with fresh noodles! (I'm very picky when it comes to the ripeness of watermelon and have perfected the knocking technique!)

Q: What's an achievement you're proud of?

A: After deciding to go back to college, I challenged myself to try my very best in every class, on every assignment to see what kind of marks I could achieve this time around.
I am proud to say that I received all As, ended up on the Deans List every semester and graduated with a 3.95/4.0 GPA!

Q: What is something you must do every day?

A: Going for a run/to the gym! Since design requires a lot of sitting, this has gained even more importance!

Q: What else do you like to do beyond design?

A: I have a love for vehicles and technology (inherited from my father). Something about the way things work, react and what we can do with those things make my mind tingle!
